Working draft 0.1, 26 October 2026. Effective date: [[DATE]]. Complete all marked fields and reconcile this draft with the actual service before publication.
1. Provider
Provisional provider: BARF SHOP s.r.o., Okružná 1215/144, 900 26 Slovenský Grob, Slovakia; company number 53 231 937; registered with the Commercial Register of the Municipal Court Bratislava III, section Sro, file 147562/B.
Tax ID: [[VERIFIED_TAX_ID]]. VAT ID: [[VERIFIED_VAT_ID]]. Website: [[DOMAIN]]. Support and complaints: info@myknifestudio.com, [[PHONE]]. Postal contact: [[ADDRESS_OR_REGISTERED_OFFICE]].
Editorial note: the user's choice of this company is conditional on acceptable future subscription migration. That condition has not been established. Verify the company details and merchant identity before launch.
2. The service
Studio is a digital service for designing and visualising knives and preparing digital design files. The features, limits and technical requirements shown before purchase form part of your contract. Your subscription does not include a physical knife, materials, cutting or manufacturing.
Visual previews are design aids. Check dimensions, print scale, tolerances and your manufacturing process before production. This does not remove our responsibility for the agreed quality or defects of the service.
Supported environment: [[VERIFIED_BROWSERS_AND_VERSIONS]], [[DEVICE_REQUIREMENTS]], with internet access for accounts, payments and online features. Mobile support, offline use and export compatibility extend only to what the offer expressly describes. Compatibility with every CAD/CAM application or machine is not promised.
3. Accounts and contracts
Account registration requires email verification. Keep your details accurate and your login secure; contact us if you suspect unauthorised access.
[[PROPOSED_PRODUCT_RULE: Independent accounts are for users aged 18 or over. Anyone purchasing for an organisation must be authorised to act for it.]]
A consumer purchases outside their trade or profession. Entering a business name alone does not establish a tax exemption or conclusively remove consumer status.
Before placing a paid order, you can check and correct your details, plan, total price, renewal terms and service start. The order button clearly indicates an obligation to pay. The paid subscription contract is formed when we accept your order and confirm acceptance by email. A technical acknowledgement of a payment attempt does not establish successful payment.
Your confirmation includes the plan, price and taxes, billing interval, access start, renewal details, terms and withdrawal information in a form you can save. We retain an electronic contract record; you may request a copy. Contract languages are Slovak and English, plus any other language expressly offered at checkout. This does not restrict mandatory language protections or interpretation favourable to consumers.
4. Free trial
After verifying your email, you may expressly start a 14-day trial with your first personal project. Registration or email verification alone does not start the clock. Your account shows the start and end.
No payment card is required. The trial includes one private personal project and the features stated at activation. Manufacturing SVG/DXF exports and true 1:1 print/PDF output for your own design require paid access. Fixed sample exports let you inspect formats. An editable project backup is available within the editor's supported backup scope.
The trial does not automatically become a paid subscription. We do not delete a project merely because the trial ends; viewing and backup remain available in the supported mode. Local project availability still depends on your device storage. Further editing and manufacturing output require paid access.
The trial is for a user's initial evaluation. Creating false identities or accounts to circumvent trial limits is prohibited. Legitimate shared devices or networks do not themselves constitute abuse.
5. Pricing, taxes and payment
Monthly subscription: EUR 19 per monthly period. Annual subscription: EUR 144 paid upfront for 12 months, equivalent to EUR 12 per month. The EUR 84 saving compares the annual charge with twelve EUR 19 monthly charges on the same tax basis. Both plans include the same agreed paid features.
[[TAX_DECISION_REQUIRED: Adopt one consistent consumer total-price policy and business price basis before publication. These figures do not yet establish whether VAT is included or excluded.]]
Before you order, we display the final amount, currency, applicable taxes and mandatory charges. An annual monthly equivalent does not mean monthly instalments. Savings comparisons must not mix tax-inclusive and tax-exclusive amounts.
A business purchase does not automatically qualify for zero VAT. Reverse charge or another tax treatment applies only where its conditions are met. We may need billing location, address, tax identifiers and proportionate supporting evidence. Your bank's conversion rate or fees are outside our charges.
Payment is handled by [[PAYMENT_PROVIDER_AND_METHODS]]. Paid access begins after order acceptance and payment confirmation, taking account of your chosen service start.
6. Renewal and cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically for the selected monthly or annual period until renewal is turned off. The recurring amount and interval are displayed clearly before purchase. Future charges follow the payment authorisation you give on that basis.
Turn off renewal at [[ACTUAL_SUBSCRIPTION_MANAGEMENT_LOCATION]] or contact support. Do so before the next renewal is processed; your account shows the renewal date and time. We confirm cancellation by email. Access continues until the end of the paid period. You do not need to telephone us or give a reason.
Turning off a future renewal does not ordinarily refund the current period. Your rights concerning withdrawal, defects, incorrect charges or mandatory local law remain unaffected.
We notify you if renewal payment fails. Restrictions must not shorten a period already paid for. Retrying payment must respect an effective cancellation and must not cause duplicate charges.
[[PROPOSED_PRICE_CHANGE_RULE: We notify you at least 30 days before a renewal affected by a price change. We do not change a period already paid for. You may turn off renewal. Where law or payment authorisation requires fresh consent, we do not charge the increased amount without it.]]
Account deletion and subscription cancellation are distinct. We handle account closure so that unwanted future charges do not remain, and explain its effects on access and data. Marketing unsubscribe does not cancel a subscription.
7. Your designs and permitted use
Rights in your designs, photographs and other content remain with you or their original owners. Using Studio does not transfer ownership of your designs to us. You may use your own designs and lawfully generated outputs commercially and after your subscription ends, subject to third-party rights.
You receive a non-exclusive right to use the service within your active plan. This does not permit reselling access, redistributing our software or bypassing access controls. Uses permitted by mandatory law remain permitted.
If you send us content through the service or support, you grant only the permission needed to process it for the service you request. Without separate permission we do not publish it as a marketing example or provide it for AI model training. Our sample projects and supplied assets have the permissions stated alongside them; do not assume a licence to copy someone else's design.
Do not upload content without the necessary rights or unnecessary personal information about other people.
8. Storage, updates and availability
In the current local mode, designs and boards are saved in your browser on the particular device. An account does not itself provide cloud backup or synchronisation. Clearing browser data, changing browser profiles, devices or domains, or device failure may affect local files. Download backups regularly. A single-project export may not include all boards or auxiliary preparations.
Cloud storage is included only when expressly offered with its scope and conditions. Statutory rights to retrieve your content and personal data do not depend on buying a manufacturing export.
We provide updates needed to maintain agreed and legally required service qualities for the applicable period. We give appropriate notice of maintenance and substantial interruptions. An interruption does not automatically exclude a remedy.
Changes beyond necessary maintenance may address security, legal requirements, compatibility or reasonable technical development. If a change has a significant adverse effect on consumer use, we provide advance information on a durable medium and the remedies required by law, including applicable termination rights. A general update clause does not replace those rights.
9. Misuse and liability
Do not attack the service, interfere with other users, distribute malicious code, infringe third-party rights or bypass payment or trial restrictions. Your use must comply with applicable law.
We may proportionately restrict affected access where there are reasonable grounds to suspect misuse. Unless security or law prevents it, we explain the reason and provide an opportunity to remedy the issue or request human review. Permanent termination must be proportionate. There is no blanket forfeiture of every payment regardless of circumstances.
Our liability is governed by applicable law. These terms do not exclude mandatory consumer remedies, compensation or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. The requirement to check a manufacturing process is not a blanket waiver of our responsibility.
10. Withdrawal, complaints and disputes
Consumers normally have 14 days from concluding a paid distance contract to withdraw without a reason. The separate free trial does not use up that period. Activating an ongoing digital service or exporting your design does not automatically remove this right.
See the withdrawal notice and model form at [[WITHDRAWAL_NOTICE_URL]]. The online withdrawal function is at [[WITHDRAWAL_FUNCTION_URL]] during the statutory period. You can also notify us by email or post.
See [[COMPLAINTS_URL]] for defects and complaints. Following an unsuccessful request for a remedy, consumers may use the competent alternative dispute resolution body. For a Slovak provider, the Slovak Trade Inspection may be competent: https://www.soi.sk/alternativne-riesenie-spotrebitelskych-sporov/pravidla-ars . Court remedies remain available.
11. Applicable law and provider changes
Slovak law governs the contract. This choice does not deprive consumers of mandatory protections applicable in their country of habitual residence or their lawful access to competent courts. These terms impose neither mandatory arbitration nor a blanket class-action waiver.
International customers are within the intended audience, but availability for a particular country must be confirmed at checkout. An English translation does not replace mandatory local rules.
If the provider changes, we give advance information about the new entity, effective date and consequences for contracts, data, payments and paid access. A transfer requires the appropriate legal basis and any required consent. These terms are not unlimited consent to transfer data or payment authorisations to an arbitrary entity.
New terms do not retrospectively alter accrued rights. Material changes are explained in advance; simply publishing a page does not establish consent to less favourable terms.
Legal basis and unresolved decisions: see documents 07 and 08. This draft treats the core subscription as an ongoing digital service; any separately sold downloadable content needs its own assessment.
Marked fields and editorial notes remain unresolved.
